Nice, rare piece by one of the period's prominent artists.

Charles Lemanceau was born in 1905 in Paris. In 1923, he worked for Primavera and in 1925 exhibited in the Salon d'Automne with his fellows;  Eugene Printz, Louis Sognot, Van Dongen, Vlaminck, Raoul Dufy, Jean Dunand, Henri Matisse, Le Corbusier, Jules Leleu, Robert Mallet-Stevens, Fernand Leger and Maurice Utrillo. In this period, he worked for Saint-Clement and DIM. From 1930 , he worked for Maurice Dufrene, Primavera and Sainte-Radegonde. He was a specialist of animal sculptures, and is one of the most important sculptors in the French Art Deco period.

29cm tall, in very nice condition with only very minimal imperfections at couple of points around the rear of the base as highlighted in images. Please note that the images make up a large part of the description.
