Up for your consideration is this Rare 1930's Antique California Scott Cork Decoy Co. Solid Cork Body, Canvas over wire tail, Plastic Head Pintail Drake Duck Decoy With Original Paint. It measures approximately 14” long x 4 3/4” wide x 3 3/4” high. Stamped on the bottom Scott Cork Decoys Oakland, California with a U. S. Patent number that I can’t read. This one obviously has some damage. It must have come too close to the campfire and had a plastic head meltdown. The drake decoy is pictured on page 313 of Wildfowl Decoys Of California by Michael R. Miller. This is a hard to find decoy in any condition with original paint if you had a head you could attach it and it would be a nice example.
