Description
Introduction
The final battle of the "War of the Ring." This is the march on the gates of Mordor undertaken as a diversion to buy time for Frodo and Sam to achieve the ultimate goal: destruction of the One Ring. The Mordor player wins if he is able to destroy all units of the Gondor player within 9 game turns.

Background
Between 1936 and 1949, J.R.R. Tolkien created a world peopled by Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves, Wizards, Orcs, Men, Dragons. and a multitude of other creatures from fantasy and myth. These characters tell about their history and culture within the pages of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. The exploits and adventures of these books have thrilled millions and stand as a work that may never see an equal in the art of fantasy writing.

The background to the story in these volumes was a war such as has never been seen on the face of the Earth. Thousands of men, goblins, heroes and antiheros fought a campaign to gain control of a single magic ring, and through this ring to control the entire world.

This game recreates the last battle of the "War Of The Ring”. After the destruction of the army of Mordor during their siege of the city of Minas Tirith, the remaining armies of Gondor and the Free Peoples marched to the gates of the land of Mordor. Although fearfully outnumbered, and without hope for victory, their intent was to draw the attention of the Dark Lord out of his realm, in order to aid the Ringbearer in his mission inside the lands of Mordor.
This game starts at the onset of the Mordor attack and ends at the point where the Ringbearer completed his task and brought about the downfall of Sauron.
