An extremely rare pair of 10" Maine hunting boots from the early days of LL Bean.  The final evolution of a prep classic, these boots have all the details that led to their ascendancy as the east coast foul weather footwear of choice - natural leather uppers with metal eyelets that run all the way up, nylon cord laces, and the inimitable black and yellow molded rubber soles.

In excellent vintage condition, with no damage or heavy signs of prior wear to the uppers, interior, or soles.  Some scuffing throughout, and the shaft of the left boot appears to have a green paint stain - see photos.  The soles are marked women's size 4, given LL Bean's sizing they should fit like a size 5.
