This Pearl *"Vivace" Head Joint* is made of *.925 Sterling Silver. Interestingly enough, the Gold Plating* on the Lip Plate and Interior of the tube has a substantial and very positive effect on the sonics of the head joint and therefore on the entire flute. This *Silver Pearl Head Joint* will make an average flute excellent, a really good flute wonderful. !!
