Description:
The metal plates on top of the E46 rear shock towers have a well-known weakness: the metal is prone to tearing over time, especially when subjected to strong impacts.
It is the best insurance for the shock mount to install the shock mount reinforcement to avoid repairing expensive shock mounts in the future!

For E46 with aftermarket modified shocks, the aluminium cast structure of the lower spring seat may deform or crack when running the aftermarket shock package. Therefore, BEVINSEE strongly recommend installing the rear spring seat reinforcement plate. Avoid problems with rear shock adjusters applying a large amount of load to the small diameter range of the spring seat, causing it to collapse over time.

BEVINSEE stainless steel reinforcements prevent deformation or cracking. By distributing the load, mimicking factory rubber pads, the load is spread over a larger area and damage is prevented.

Fitment Note:
We found that the factory E30 M3 had too much seam sealant near and around the top of the rear shock mounting area, causing the reinforcement plate to not lie completely flat. 
Please modify the plates to accommodate the manufacturing tolerances of these specific models.
