It is the exact unit to replace the original wire feeder in the HF welders. Preferred over a generic. My experience is that this feeder works like the original, where some other feeders that look very similar will require the wire speed adjustment knob to be turned all the way up to 8 for what the original motor (and this one) could feed on 4.
It is possible that this wire feeder could be used to fit other welders with different brand names. If you have a different welder, please check the appearance of the wire feed unit, and the voltage that the motor draws in determining whether this would be a good fit. Some welders use 12 volt motors where others use 24 volt motors. This wire feeder uses 24 volts.
90 AMP 110v welder. A customer reported back that this wire feed assembly worked for his Chicago Electric 90 AMP 110v welder. Model 68887. He confirmed that his welder had the black case with bronze lettering. He said that the 24v wire feeder was a direct fit.
