Areza Ultra-absorbent Silicone Foam Dressing with Adhesive Border is made of a Silicone Ultra-Absorbent Foam with an Adhesive Border and consists of five layers. The first layer is a fenestrated silicone wound contact layer, followed by a triple-layer ultra-absorbent pad, and a vapor permeable, waterproof polyurethane (PU) film backing. This multi-layer design enables dynamic fluid management, providing an optimal moist wound environment, which promotes faster wound healing and may reduce the risk of maceration. The silicone layer is gentle on the wound and surrounding skin, minimizing pain and trauma during removal. The triple-layer absorbent pad includes a PU foam layer, a thin non-woven layer, and an ultra-absorbent layer, providing superior absorption and locking away wound drainage (exudates). The dressing has an adhesive border that is self-adherent, so no secondary dressing is required. Additionally, the adhesive silicone layer is non-sensitizing with gentle and durable adherence to skin with minimal pain and trauma during use and removal. The outer layer is vapor permeable and waterproof, and acts as a physical barrier to external contaminants. The dressing is comfortable and easy to have on the wound and maintains its integrity during use.

Indications:

Areza Medical’s Ultra-Absorbent Silicone Foam with Adhesive Border dressings are indicated for a wide range of wounds such as:

• Pressure ulcers

• Traumatic wounds

• Surgical wounds

• Donor sites

• Skin tears

• Burns (1st and 2nd degree)

• May be used on dry/necrotic wounds in combination with gels

Precautions:

• Product is not indicated for individuals who are sensitive to the product or its components.

• Product is for single use only. Do not reuse or re-sterilize.

• Do not use if the pouch is damaged or opened

• Do not use with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide.

• If reddening or sensitization occurs, discontinue use.

Directions:

1. Cleanse the wound and periwound with a wound cleanser, pat dry. Prior to applying, clean periwound skin with non-irritating pH-balanced (pH 5.5-7) soap and dry it.

2. Remove the middle release sheet first and place the dressing on the center of the wound, followed by removing the other two release sheets. 

3. The central pad should cover the wound completely. The adhesive border will cover the dry healthy skin around the wound. Do not stretch.

4. Change the dressing as needed (as instructed by your wound care provider).
