Roland Foods Gochujang Paste is grown and imported from South Korea. This hot chili sauce is similar to miso paste with a strong umami flavor and the addition of fiery chilies. Capsaicin, the naturally occurring compound found in peppers that give them their spice, has antibacterial effects and is known to cleanse the bodies systems. Traditionally, Gochujang is used in marinades for Korean barbecue, added to dipping sauces, or used to kick up the spice in home-style stews or soups.
