Easily Locate:
Signal Detector Feature:
Non-contact probe audibly identifies selected wire or cable.
Rotate the volume/sensitivity control on the probe for the appropriate level and sensitivity to identify and trace the wire.
Signal Sender Feature:
Switch to Tone Mode and use only one alligator clip to Trace Wire.
Switch to Continuity Mode and use both alligator clips to check for continuity and short circuit.
Alligator Clips Feature:
In Tone mode connect the red clip to the Wire you wish to trace and the black clip to ground if possible.
In Continuity mode connect each clip to each end of the circuit cable. If the wire is short circuited or broken the Red LED with light. You can then use Tone mode to trace the wire all the way to the break location.
RJ-11 Plug Feature:
Use the RJ-11 plug to identify ring and tip telephone line and test the line condition (clear, busy, ringing).
