Rare theatre handbill dated 16 March 1822
Theatre Retford

Feature: Therese, or the Orphan of Geneva

Presumably very rare
Hopefully goes to a collector or researcher specialising in theatre ephemera of the period.

Research on the play reveals this synopsis via the Huntington Library:

Thérèse is the daughter of a noble Genevan family, but as her father was of inferior rank, her mother concealed her, and she was raised as an orphan taken in by the family. Upon the death of her mother she is left the entire family fortune. Her relatives take issue with this and accuse her of forging the will.
