The Sachtler 2580 SYSTEM 25 PLUS Combi Pedestal System is a medium to heavy-duty pedestal support system geared toward broadcast and studio use. Key features include:

Frictionless, Leakproof Fluid Damping. With seven steps of drag damping, the included Video 25 Plus FB fluid head supports a wide range of horizontal and vertical drag for buttery smooth panning and tilting.

Dynamic Counterbalancing System. The eighteen-step dynamic counterbalancing system compensates for torques as the camera tilts, preventing the camera from inadvertently tipping and ensuring that it is positioned securely at any tilt angle.

Quick Release. The Video 25 Plus FB fluid head features Sachtler’s Touch & Go plate system, enabling quick removal. Additionally, the integrated sliding baseplate offers approximately four and a half inches of sliding range for quick balancing.

Height Adjustable, Pneumatic Pedestal. The pedestal is anchored by an air-pressurized pneumatic column that allows for easy height adjustments regardless of the camera weight. Column lock knobs and trim weights easily allow you to dampen column movement or compensate for temperature change on set without the need for a pump.

Studio-Style Crab Steering. The Sachtler 2580 SYSTEM 25 PLUS Combi Pedestal System includes a detachable steering ring that allows for crab steering where all three wheels move in relation to the steering ring. Each wheel features overload protection to avoid misalignment and the included foot brakes allow you to easily lock down your rig as needed.

Some Assembly Required. Due to the size, weight, and risk of damage, this pedestal tripod system does not ship assembled. We include everything you need to assemble and pressurize the column but you’ll want to make sure you plan set up time accordingly.
