We create a wide range of formal, outdoor & costume hats. Each hat is made to measure (to fit the individual customer).

The Black, brown and tan leather Bush Hats have the following features:

·       Made from premium quality black/brown/tan kangaroo leather, which is exceptionally durable and scratch/stain resistant; this leather is supple, strong and extremely comfortable to wear 

·       Made to last in great shape even with lots of handling and wear – the brim as well as the crown of the hat are both reinforced with a strong but lightweight coiled SPRING to keep perfect shape

·       The Bush Hat can be folded and packed in luggage - and it will return to shape once unpacked

. Great in outdoor conditions - the wide brim gives plenty of shade from the sun and the leather is water resistant - the hat will withstand rough weather and years of wear and tear

. Comes with the two eylets on each side - this allows for good ventilation

. Perfect for outdoor work, golfing, gardening, fishing and other outdoor activities

We make all standard sizes, as well as all in-between sizes, and all smaller or larger than standard sizes.

The standard adult sizes are:

XS(=53cm), S(=55cm), M(=57cm), L(=59cm), XL(=61cm), XXL(=63cm), XXXL(=65cm).

We custom make each hat new, based on the exact head circumference in cm or inches of each customer. We work with measurements in 0.5 cm (1/4”) increments. (When measuring for size, please place tape measure just above (about ¼” above) ears and then place evenly around the head, level to the floor. The tape measure should sit nice and snug, not pulled overly tight but not loose either. It is a good idea to get another person to help with this process.

It is essential that you are aware that your hat will be newly hand crafted by one person (John Whittaker) for you. This is not an instant process. We are a small, two-person hand craft, boutique business – Anna, who runs the admin side, and John, who hand makes all our products. You are therefore purchasing a unique, custom made product, different to any factory produced item.

Therefore please allow around 21 business days after payment hascleared (in our bank account, not just in the Paypal account) for the crafting of your hat. Depending on our workload at the time, hats can sometimes take up to one month to be made, particularly if we customise designs or order leathers in especially for that order. You can expect to be kept fully informed on the progress of your order. It is possible to arrange rush orders (shorter manufacturing time-frame) for an additional fee.

Please note that the domestic postage charge listed applies only to VIC, ACT, NSW, SA & QLD, whereas a slightly higher postage charge applies to TAS, WA & NT. Please contact us regarding the postage charge to those states.
