These filter paper are commonly used in laboratories for common filtering tasks, the paper being high retention and slow to medium rate.

The paper is folded twice leaving 4 quarters and then placed in a funnel around half the size of the filter paper. e.g. 12 - 15cm funnel.

Avoid allowing the wet paper to stick to the funnel which will slow it down. Either use a ribbed funnel or use something like wooden splints (see listing (search) 304394051935) as props between the paper and the funnel.
