At its maximum operating potential, the ECW Parka is intended to be partnered with additional components of the ECWCS: Level 1 Long Underwear, Level 2 Long Underwear, Fleece Cold Weather Jacket, and Level 4 Soft Shell Wind Jacket and Pants to provide survival capability down to -50ºF.

Build your own layering system, then throw the ECW Parka on top. You'll stay toasty through just about anything.
