SCOUT TARP 3P.

Scout is a shelter that realizes the maximum internal space and, at the same time, minimum weight. The shape of a regular hexagon gives the maximum possible wind resistance from all sides.

The shelter has a single T-entrance on a reinforced #5 water repellent YKK Aquaguard zipper. The pyramid tent is designed for 3 people. The area of the internal living space is about 5.85 square meters.

Scout Tarp is setting up on a trekking pole in the center. For setup you need minimum 6 pegs. Stakes and poles are not included.

Small packed size and volume.

Pitching with either SCOUT FULL MESH 3P or SCOUT HALF MESH 1P you get an ultralight frameless two-layer shelter.

Seams of the tarp are non-sealed. For sealing the seams we recommend sealant based on silicone. Mostly prefer McNett Seam Grip+SIL (earlier known as McNett Silnet Seam Sealer).

The shelter is made from 1.1 oz Levitex Silpoly 20D Ripstop 2000 mm.

SETUP IN 4 STEPS

• stretch corners with pegs in the shape of a regular hexagon;
• put the trekking pole from the inside to the top of the tent vertically about 165cm
• add long guy lines on a separate pegs for additional wind resistance ;
• tight all guy lines for a good tarp's tension.

NOTE. The sharp ends of the trekking poles should always be covered with tips. Or you can put a soft cloth / equipment under the sharp end of the pole. Do not insert the sharp ends of sticks or posts into the top of the shelter. The sharp ends of the trekking poles should always be insulated to avoid breaking the top of the shelter.
