CabAssist Strap

Getting in and out of the cab of a motorhome can be a struggle, we've designed this simple but very effective  strap to make it easier.

It uses the belt anchor to give you a really secure handhold to help pull yourself up into the cab and lower yourself out safely.  We've designed this with top quality materials - the strap finishes in a looped handle with a strong round grip, easy for fingers to grasp, even for those whose grip strength is not good. The round grip is very comfortable and will not cut into your fingers.  Exceptionally good customer feedback - see at the bottom of this listing!  The phrase "Game Changer" has been fed back to us more than once.

The strap is 50mm / 2" wide and ends in a strong black buckle fitting.  To the end of the buckle the strap as standard is 38cm / 15" long, but it fastens with velcro and can be adjusted slightly if required.  The strap is extremely strong - I am 6'2" and 20 stone, I have pulled with all my strength on this strap and it will not yield.

Concerned you won't be able to reach in to plug it into the belt buckle?  You should be fine - I asked my 5'0" (152cm) tall 75 year old Mum to test it, she can reach in with ease to plug it in, see the video of her trying it out on this listing.  Most people will plug it in when they are getting out of the van and leave it there until after they next get in, so they won't have to reach in anyway.

The strap is as useful for a driver as it is for a passenger - although the driver has the steering wheel to hang onto, the strap gives a firm grip for your other hand to use.

We also sell this as a set with a folding handle step, which can be pulled up into the cab behind you - see it here:-

Stating the obvious I know - but we have to! The CabAssist strap must only be used when the vehicle is stationary and must be taken out before driving. The vehicle manufacturer's original belts must always be worn when the vehicle is in motion unless the user holds a medical exemption certificate.
