This is one of the rarest items to come up for sale. The only other real photo of this event is in the Truman Library. This photo as well as many others were found in an album from a field photographer. In this Photo you will see the Japanese delegation disembarking "Betty Bomber" a C-54A at Nichols Field Manila in Aug 1945. They are lead by LT. General Torashiro Kawabe. He had the task of arranging the details of Japan's surrender in World War 2. This photo is like the one found in Truman's library. Very soon after this picture was taken General Torashiro retired and died in 1960. Look closely at the tail numbers on the C-54A Sky Master, there was one other like this one in the Pacific and it was delegated to General MacArthur The "Bataan". Later the C-54A became the first AF1 the "Sacred Cow."
