Hermes Paris classic design jacket and skirt bought in New York in the 1960s. The size French 36 is equivalent to US 4/6 (please check measurements) suit is made in 80% wool and 20% alpaca in a Hermes version of a houndstooth check in navy and cream woven fabric with a lavender thread running through the weave. The jacket has beige lamb leather trimming on the collar lapels and on the two of the front pockets. The jacket closes with two Hermes Paris imprinted buttons. The sleeve edges have two smaller versions of the same buttons as the front. The front also has a small ornamental pocket above the right front pocket and a small pocket on the upper left front close to the collar lapel. The jacket is lined in navy blue silk and the sleeves have a bespoke tailoring touch of striped white and black satin lining. The fabric and tailoring are exquisite. The simply tailored pencil skirt closes with hook and eyes and zipper on the left back (see pic 14) It has two side pockets and a 6" back slit. It has side metal loops for hanging. The last picture shows the skirt inside out to verify that the lining is intact.
Jacket Measurements: Across shoulders:17". Pit to pit:19.5". Waist: 18". Length from center back below the collar: 24.5" Sleeves:21.5".
Skirt Measurements: Waist: 15". Hips: 18". Length: 24.3/4" (almost 25).
