This vintage brass match box or trinket box is a wonderful collectible item for those interested in brass memorabilia. It features a unique design and is perfect for storing small items such as jewelry, coins, match sticks,  as well as a great addition to a brass collection. The intricate details of the box make it a beautiful display piece as well.

A fabulous piece, the brass fly is actually a small trinket box or ring dish. Flip up the top and see a small holder, perfect for tiny treasures. But it is so much more than just a brass fly. it's a fabulous conversation starter and a gift for anyone who needs a small stash spot or for the person who loves to be outside in the garden.

The fly measures about 3-1/4" long by just over 2" at the widest point by 1-1/2" tall. The brass is heavy. There are no identifying marks. The condition is very good. The pin for the top may have been replaced with a wire version. I've done a very light polishing to brighten the brass but kept the patinaed recesses for depth and drama.

Research shows a similar one from the 1933 Chicago World's Fair and others identified as produced in the Soviet, while others are said to be French.
