Our premium line starts with 420 Japanese Stainless Steel. Much of the production is still done by hand in “old-world” traditions. After production we passivate each tool removing the iron content from the surface area of the steel. This substantially reduces the risk of corrosion. Next we black oxidize each tool further protecting the product from rust or corrosion even in the harshest freshwater environments.

All scissors are further tempered / emblazed at the tips bringing the hardness to about 47 hrc. This results in superior cutting performance year after year.

Ø  Wave Scissors – 10” OAL with a 3” cut length. Designed with a double curve to allow ease of use when trimming foreground plants. Long cut length makes it easier & faster to work the carpet bed of the aquarium. Strong enough to cut both plants and small branches.

 

Ø  Spring Scissors – 6” OAL with a 2” cut length. Very easy to use spring action requires minimal pressure from the finger tips. Works well for pruning willow moss. Features include grooved handles for superior grip, built in stopper to prevent scissor blades from bypassing. Curved tips allow cutting in the hard-to-reach areas.

 

Ø  Sharp point scissors – 6” OAL with a 2” cut length. All purpose (sharp/sharp) surgical scissor which works great for soft coral and various propagation techniques.

 

Ø  Tongs – 12” OAL with 45 degree bend and 2” pvc dipped tips. The most versatile of all aquarium tools. All-purpose and works great for feeding, placement, etc…

 

Ø  Precision tweezers – 10” OAL. Features include micro-serrated tips for secure grasping, as well as secure thumb grip and smooth external body. Ideal for planting.
