Please make sure there is no large step-down behind the rear sight on your 1911 gun.
What is a GSG gun?
GSG guns are made by German Sports Guns,
they make two models compliant with California Gun Roster,
and this plate fits one of two guns. (.22 Cal) GSG922 and GSG1911
I would not say ONLY,
but I can not guarantee that it'll fit any other guns.
It for sure doesn't fit the slide with a large step down after the rear sight.
(there were several attempts to install on such)
The current (available) plate is only good for GSG 922 with a straight slide and Trijicon footprint.
recently we added two Footprints Red Dot sight for GSG 1911 with a small step down (see pix)
It is made of a new material - Carbon Fiber PETG.
The previous model is made of Carbon Fiber Nylon (slightly cheaper and has rough edges)
Those two guns are on the CA Gun Roster.
We can not guarantee that it would fit any other GSG.

The plate was tested on GSG 922 CA version
May fit other models of GSG guns with Novak cutouts dovetail
without a step down behind the rear Iron Sight.
Look at yours to make sure.
May require some additional fitting with a needle file.
Don't overdo it!
An important note.
There are concerns in the GSG CA Community
that the .22 caliber has FTE problem,
if you use red dot plates, so we've addressed that.
Works well with High-Velocity rounds
(we tested it with Fiocchi and CCI)
Low-velocity rounds have cycling problems because of an increase in the slide weight.
Therefore, the plate is made of an ultra light / strong polymer material. (not metal)
Which is a lot easier to do the fitting with a needle file.
We ran about a hundred rounds of Fiocchi and not a single jam

These are all Sights Patterns that will fit future releases.
Remove the rear sight on your gun and replace it with our mount
in order to mount your Trijicon RMR red dot.
You can take our mount off and replace your rear sight at any time. Mounting screws included.
Installation Instructions
- Remove the rear sight*
- Install the Sight Mount in the dovetail
- Tighten set screw (if applicable)
- Place the red dot sight on the Sight Mount
(placing a small piece of paper between the red dot sight and the sight mount will make for easier removal and will keep Loctite off of the red dot sight. This is up to you)
- Apply blue Loctite to the provided mounting screws
You can use a hammer with protective tape to put the plate instead of the iron sight
but we do strongly recommend using a special
device something like this (it will preserve the integrity of the slide)
if you don't have it you can borrow it from a local gunsmith

This is a 3D part.
If you are looking for something perfectly smooth this is not the product for you,
because a perfectly smooth plate would be an injection molded plastic part.
It is way more expensive in production. Although the 3D printer cost is not cheap either.
However, It does its job, but doesn't look beautiful. May have rough edges.
You may need to smooth the edges with a needle file.
Although in most cases you don't have to.
It will work regardless of the looks.
The product availability is based on the fact, that many .22 CA *roster guns*
will never have an *optics-ready* option.
We don't know when it will change.

we decided to make these plates out of carbon materials
it is also easy on the slide cycling
due to a nature of a 3D part
this item is considered to be a disposable item
it may start disintegrating in about 500 rounds
often more than that. sometimes it never happens
