Hello and thanks for checking out this listing of a pre-owned carbon fiber Specialized Tarmac SL2 fork for your compatible rim brake road bike! I discovered this fork in the back stock of a high-end bicycle shop as it ceased operating, it will come to you in the excellent used condition seen in the included photographs.
A classic choice for Specialized rim brake road frames that call for a tapered 1.5 to 1-1/8" steerer tube and compatibility with 100mm spaced quick release wheels. Also compatilble with SL3! The cut full carbon steerer tube measures a QUITE SHORT 181mm in length from the crown race to the end of the steerer. 45mm rake, for 700c wheels.
Axle to crown measurement is 370mm, meaning tire clearance is MAXED out at 27mm rubber.
A WORD ON FITMENT: This is a used fork, so YES the steerer has been cut. Its steerer tube will NOT WORK with medium or large frames. PLEASE. Measure the combined length of your head tube, spacers, and stem to determine if it is long enough for your application.
Overall condition is a conservative 7 out of 10 with typical signs of prior installation and use such as evidence of front brake and hub installation. The underside of the crown shows minimal signs of contact with road spray & grit. The finish is in lovely shape with the odd minuscule blemish here & there. Carbon fiber and Lawyer tabs are fully intact.
