You are bidding on a VERY RARE VINTAGE 1936 (FIRST YEAR) Excursion Guide to Fuji-Hakone National Park Tourist Brochure from the Fuji-View Hotel on Lake Kawaguchi in Miyanoshita (Hakone), JAPAN. Brochure is in GOOD Condition with some wear, wrinkles, but very readable. 2 x 4 Foldout

HISTORY NOTES: 1936 was the first year of the Fuji-Hanone NP park opening AND the first year for the Fuji-View Hotel as well. Brochure has no date, but the brochure mentions H.M. King Edward the VIII in the present tense as it also says "..then H.R.H Prince of Wales" as visiting the park. King Edward the VIII was only King in the year of 1936. Coronated in January and died in December.
