Absolutely stunning, intricately carved zoomorphic opium water bowl!

Beautiful animal head details on both sides of bowl - wider snake head serves as a handle while the smaller end is the “straw” and features carving detail to the underside as well, presumably for additional grip in the mouth.

The wood was dehydrated and has been treated with food safe oil to bring out the natural wood grain.

Bowl shows signs of wear appropriate to its age and actual usage.
