Some of these shochu are made from sweet potatoes, The famous production area is Kagoshima. Okuchi Shuzo in Isa City, Kagoshima sells this sake. Empty bottles from the Isa Nishiki series gold leaf gift set. I live in a place called Fukuoka in the Kyushu region, which is the same as Kagoshima. I've never seen it commercially available.
