The Wharfedale Diamond A1 Speakers are the smaller, bookshelf speaker sized siblings to the Wharfedale Diamond A2 speakers, with a separate control hub, the H1 wireless hub, that handles power and sources. The H1 wireless hub is used to transmit left and right channel signals to each speaker respectively, meaning they are not tied together, opening up the option to place them wherever you would like within the room. Each A1 speaker is powered by its own 50W amplifier, providing a complete 100W system power, which helps to produce a consistent, optimised stereo sound. With support of both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency bands, the H1 wireless hub can seamlessly switch between the two to maintain a stable connection to the speakers. For the H1 wireless hub to work, it must be kept within a radius of 20m to the speakers and must also be near a mains power socket.
There are many different types of connectivity options available to you with the Wharfedale Diamond A1 Speakers. Bluetooth aptX allows for wireless streaming of your music from your mobile or Bluetooth equipped devices, and you can also choose from digital optical, coaxial, and RCA-phono inputs for your analogue sources. With an advanced array of features such as bass adjustment and mono mode, the Wharfedale Diamond A1 Speakers are able to be placed in separate rooms for a very basic multi-room system.
A deep bass and crystal clear highs can be achieved thanks to the Wharfedale Diamond A1 Speakers' proprietary 16.5cm woven Kevlar cone mid/LF driver coupled with a 25mm fabric dome tweeter that has previously been seen in Wharfedale's 200 series. A crossover network that has been specifically optimised for the Wharfedale Diamond A1 helps the speakers achieve a bold, gorgeously immersive and cohesive performance that is just as impressively refined.
The Wharfedale Diamond A1 Speakers and their sibling, the A2, come in the same finishes, with the same design features, such as the silver-coloured driver surrounds. This allows you to match the two together should you want to create a larger, even more impressive and beautiful sound system.
