Elegant pierced compote featuring finely cast figures from Greek mythology.  There are many reproductions of this piece. Based on the solid bottom and the hardware this is not a recent reproduction. Based on others listed for sale this version was produced in the 1940s.

This is a wonderful, classically inspired piece featuring ( I think) Poseidon with Trident, Nereid riding a Hippocamps (fish-tailed horse), Poseidon on a stylized dolphin, and Athena reclining on another dolphin holding a spear.

This piece was crafted in cast iron in the 1940s based on the hardware. It measures 8¼” and approximately 3½" tall. There is no damage l. It has a small amount of surface rust. A new coat of paint will make it like new again. Please see the pictures as they are part of the description.
