15W Fast Wireless Charging Rectangular Pad
Why do we need to have a Qi certificate
for a Wireless Charging Pad?
Buyer Beware!
There are many wireless charging pads sold
very cheaply, some of them marked as 30W. These products have no Qi certificate
and no brand. If you use this kind of wireless charging pad, you take a
significant risk. Below is a review of this kind of product.
“At first I LOVED this charger, but after a
few Months this of use, I had the product plugged into a USB port on a surge
protector. The surge protector was a new one. It was 3am in the morning when I
awoke to an electrical burning smell!
Nothing was on the platform of the charger, charging. I looked over at my
nightstand and at the site where the end if the USB cord with the C-type part
of the charging cable plugs into the platform part, the cord was melted and
smoking! The cord was the manufacturer’s cord and the power surge protector was
brand new!
I was shocked and contacted the manufacturer. Very scary. If I had not woken up
to the smell, it is quite possible I would have woke up to a fire!”
Conclusion:
Qi-certified pads provide a safer, more reliable, and efficient charging
experience, protecting both your device and investment. Non-certified options,
while cheaper, pose potential risks to safety, performance, and warranty
coverage. For optimal results, especially with premium devices, Qi
certification is strongly recommended.
