HD Radio and Bluetooth
Bluetooth gives you hands-free calling convenience, plus a wireless connection to the songs stored on your compatible music player. With an Android phone, you can also enjoy Pandora® Internet Radio controls. The external Bluetooth microphone ensures that your end of the conversation is clear to your callers.
The DDX492 receiver can tune into HD Radio stations that offer the best sound you'll hear coming over the airwaves — FM that rivals CDs, and AM that's clear and static-free. And with thousands of stations broadcasting in HD Radio, you'll likely find participating stations in your area.
Play your music and videos
When your iPod or iPhone's connected, you can view album art and browse through your playlists with a few swipes of your finger. And with an iPhone plugged in, you can control and listen to Pandora.
Video on the go
You can watch your favorite DVDs on the built-in screen whenever you're parked, or send movies to a rear-seat screen when you're on the move. This Kenwood includes a rear A/V input, so you can add a portable video player or video game console as well. The rear camera input lets you connect a backup camera, so the Kenwood's screen will show the camera feed when your vehicle is in reverse — a great feature when backing up a larger vehicle.
The heart of Excelon
You can select one of the eight preset EQ settings, or use the 5-band equalizer to adjust the tone for your separate audio sources. The DDX492 also provides three pairs of RCA preamp outputs, which will send a hot 4-volt signal to your outboard amps for better performance. You can go even deeper by tweaking crossover points for both speaker-level and preamp-level outputs, so your speakers and subs play more efficiently.
