This stunning antique vase is a beautiful example of Art Nouveau style. Made by Julius Mühlhaus in the early 20th century, this hand-blown glass vase features a clear body with stylised floral designs and gilded accents. The vase is 6 1/2" tall and 8" wide, making it a perfect decorative piece for any home.

The vase's origins can be traced back to Czechia, where it was produced using traditional art glass techniques. It is an original piece, not a licensed reproduction, and is perfect for collectors of antique pottery, ceramics, and glass. The vase will make a stunning addition to any collection.

The vase is clear glass with a solid heavy polished foot. The regal decoration is hand enamelled in cobalt blue and 24ct gilding. The pattern is stylised flowers with infill of gilded scrolls in the Japanesque or Chinoiserie style in imitation of the Cloisonné work from the orient. The lower parts are mainly in the cobalt blue wedged in gold, whereas the top band is gold with edging of cobalt blue. Altogether a very pleasing centrepiece vase which gives instant eye appeal….and a lovely piece of art glass from a by-gone era. This vase is not signed but I show more examples of his work in photos.

CONDITION: Good condition overall, some loss of gilding on the top rim. Just one repair. A sliver chip has been placed back and all is seen is a thin line which can be felt with fingernail, on the base line of the vase. Please see photos. This can hardly been seen and does not affect the overall appearance at all. I turned it round and round and found it hard to spot.
