  Mtn Dew Pitch Black is a vintage Mtn Dew product that is described as dark fruity citrus in flavor and originally dropped as a limited release in the fall of 2004. In 2005 came Pitch Black II, which was also a limited-time-only variety. Mtn Dew Pitch Black reemerged briefly in 2011 and 2015, and in 2016 Dew fans voted to make Mtn Dew Pitch Black a permanent flavor. Despite its massive following, Mtn Dew Pitch Black left shelves for good in 2019… or so we thought.

  Mtn Dew announced earlier this month that Mtn Dew Pitch Black fans, affectionately named members of “Dew Nation,” have a reason to get excited about the new year ahead because with it comes the return of the beloved flavor. Mtn Dew didn’t stop there, either.
