Exceptional diamond cluster ring with a deep Royal blue Burma (Myanmar) Mogok sapphire centerpiece, being NATURAL and UNHEATED / UNTREATED. The oval cut sapphire is of top A quality and estimated to weigh about 2.20 carats measuring 9.68x6.63x4.32mm. The gem is fully transparent and  possesses a great clarity (the tiny hairlines which one might see within the sapphire at the photo are normally invisible to the naked eye and only come out with the macro lens of the camera). However, these tiny lines are a proof of the sapphire being natural and are the usual type of rutile needles one finds primarily in natural untreated Burmese sapphires. There are further other gemological evidences the sapphire is exactly a Burma Mogok piece, like the so called "fingerprint" or "healed feather" from the natural crystal regrowth that primarily appears in Burma sapphires, as well as other microscopic calcite inclusions so typical for the region. The present Burmese Mogok sapphire is not treated in any way since treated sapphires usually show halo formations around these microscopic inclusions within the crystal, while the present sapphire does not show any such formations. The sapphire shows NO fluorescence whatsoever under UV light. The present gemstone was further inspected by a HRD certified gemologist and proven to be as stated. A natural and unheated Burma sapphire of that quality and size is usually considered a rarity and particularly with such a deep midnight blue color. The usual dealer's price for such a piece of that size is in the $8,500-$10,000 range per carat or $18,700-$22,000 for that particular stone.

Apart from the sapphire centerpiece, there is further a cluster of 10 round brilliant cut diamonds surrounding it. All diamonds are top D-E color and VVS clarity, each one having a diameter of about 3.5-3.6mm or 0.15 carat in terms of weight. Total estimated diamond weight is approximately 1.50 carats.

The ring is made of 18 karat white gold and gross weight is 7.2 grams. Ring size is 53 (US size 6.5 / UK size M), but can easily be resized.

The ring is a vintage piece from around the 80ies or a bit earlier although one cannot be precise due to the classical design type. It nearly resembles and matches in terms of design Princess Diana's Royal wedding ring that was later presented to Kate Middleton, although that particular ring had a much larger sapphire from Ceylon, while Burmese Mogok sapphires like the present one are considered much rarer...
