The ring comprises an oval cut and exceptional intense green peridot gem, which measures 16x12.1x9.7mm and has an estimated weight of about 15.00 carats (measured within setting). The present peridot's intense pure green color is simply mesmerising and typical for the Burma Mogok's Stone Tract and Burmese origin. The stone is natural, loupe clean and what would be considered a VVS clarity for such a gemstone. Peridots are not treated or enhanced, so is the present stone.

The oval cut Peridot is bezel set in yellow gold and surrounded by a cluster of 28 round old mine cut diamonds of an average diameter of 2mm each. There are 2 other diamonds set on both sides of the ring on each shoulder. All diamonds have an average H white color and SI1 clarity with total estimated diamond weight TDW in the 0.50 carats range.

Ring size is 53 (US size 6.5 / UK size M), but can easily be resized. Gross weight is 7.9 grams.

The specific platinum setting and overall design resembles identical pieces crafted in Imperial Russia during this era. It is a well known fact that Russian goldsmiths and workmasters did not use a platinum hallmark for their creations as platinum was not officially recognised yet as a separate type of a precious metal. The present ring does not have any maker's marks or hallmarks, which is expected from an antique Russian ring and jewelry in general.
