An absolutely gorgeous antique late Victorian era ca. 1890 natural vivid emerald green chrome tourmaline and diamond ring in platinum.The claw set oval cut tourmaline measuring 12.8x10.6x6.5mm and having an estimated weight of 6.0 carats (within setting). The present chrome verdelite tourmaline of finest and rarest vivid emerald green color and most likely coming from one of the famous Brasilian tourmaline mines. The gem is with a superb loupe clean VVS1 clarity, natural and without any indications of treatment whatsoever. It shows a fantastic internal fire and glow and sparkles like a diamond.
On both sides of the tourmaline and further set along the shoulders of the ring there are additional 6 old mine cut diamonds of various sizes to accent the centerpiece atop. All diamonds possess a fine H white color and average VS2 clarity and have a combined weight of about 0.15 carats.
Gross weight of the ring is 4.6 grams of platinum and ring size is 49 (US size 5 / UK size J) but can be resized.
