The NI USB-6008 provides basic data acquisition for applications such as simple data logging, portable measurements, and laboratory lab experiments. The price point is suitable for students to purchase, but its powerful features are sufficient for more complex measurement applications. Basic measurements can be done in minutes with the NI USB-6008 and its ready-to-use data logger software, or custom measurement systems programmed with LabVIEW or C and the included NI-DAQmx Base Measurement Services software .
To enable simulation, measurement, and automation theory courses to be combined with practical lab operations, NI also developed the USB-6008 Student Suite that includes a copy of the LabVIEW Student Edition.
