Here is a lovely RETRO 1950S MIDWINTER STYLECRAFT FASHION SHAPE SPRINGFIELD TOAST RACK & MATCHING JAM DISH.

Midwinter began in 1910 by William Robinson Midwinter, in Stoke on Trent.  The company ceased trading in 1987.  The stylecraft range was introduced in 1953 with 40 shapes and 36 patterns of contemporary design.

The toast rack is the FASHION SHAPE and consists of a tray with two compartments and a central area.  The central area has a metal toast rack attached.  The toast rack has a white ground and red borderline around the edge.  Central to each compartment there is a floral spray.  The flowers in the floral sprays match the colour of the borderline.  The central spray is larger than the other two.  Each spray is a different size. The underside of the toast rack is printed with: MIDWINTER STYLECRAFT STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND FASHION SHAPE.  The toast rack measures approximately 10 1/2" wide, approximately 4" deep and approximately 4 1/2" high from the base to the top of the handle.

The jam dish is a rounded square shape.  It's ground and floral detail are the same as the toast rack.  The floral motif is central to the dish and covers the bottom of the dish.  The dish then scoops out and the edge is finished with a silvered borderline around the edge.  To the base of the dish you will see MIDWINTER STYLECRAFT STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND FASHION SHAPE and 12 - 61.  The jam dish measures approximately 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and approximately 1 5/8" high from the base to the tip of the highest point.

Each piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
