Chaika Masala is a blend of whole spices, fennel seeds and ginger powder whichadded to Indian tea makes it much more flavorful. It adds a very unique flavorto the tea and also enhances the health benefits with the warming whole spices.


·     EASY-TO-MAKE:

Bring milk just to a simmerin a 2-quart heavy saucepan. Stir or whisk in brown sugar, ground spicemixture, ginger, and 1/8 teaspoon salt, or to taste. Reduce heat to low andsimmer gently, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes to infuse flavors 

 

Meanwhile, bring water to aboil in a 1-quart saucepan, add tea, and boil 1 minute

 Pour tea through afine-mesh sieve into hot milk mixture (discard tea leaves) and cook over lowheat 1 minute. Stir before serving

 

Cinnamon(Dalchini): also known asdalchini. Cinnamon has a lot of medicinal properties. These are especiallybeneficial in blood sugar control in the diabetics. This warming spice adds anearthy taste and warmth to tea

 

Cloves: Also known as laung,cloves are also known for the antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.

Dried Ginger Powder:  also known as saunth or south. Dry Ginger helpsin improving immunity and also reduces inflammation in the body. It also hasdigestive properties. It adds a warming spicy kick in chai

Black Peppercorns: also known as kali mirch. The piperine in black pepperadds to the spicy taste. The Black peppers are well known for theanti-inflammatory properties. Other than that black peppers help with theabsorption of nutrients

Nutmeg: Also known as Jaiphal you need to add a very little amountto add a subtle lingering taste. Too much of it may not be great for the taste

Black Cardamom: also known as bad elaichi it helps in variousdigestive disorders and stomach ulcers. It also helps in controlling the acidsin the stomach
