I'm an adrenaline junkie, and when I'm test driving a new convertible or an off-road vehicle, the biggest disappointment is always the speakers. High notes and volume are the key to hearing music over the noise of the wind and (hopefully) a throaty engine when I'm downshifting. Designed for volume

Each speaker can handle up to 150 watts RMS so they are ready to be played loud. The efficient driver will reach high playback levels without straining the amplifier or battery, and the design uses a 1" compression tweeter with a 3" diameter horn to ensure that the musical details cut through all that ambient noise.

Shallow mount for tight installations

DS18 fans use these in open-top Jeeps, motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, side by sides, and Polaris Slingshots. Most powersports vehicles have the same problem: high-output speaker take too much space to mount cleanly. The Pro-Hybrid MSL needs less than 3" of space inside a panel, and it plays convincingly down to 100 Hz, great if you already have some heavy bass, or if low bass is just not a priority. DS18 recommends a high-pass crossover set at 140 Hz.
