These blanks are all rough sawn to 50mm (2") square and are available in the following lengths:
200mm (approximately 8")
300mm (approximately 12")
400mm (approximately 15 3/4")
600mm (approximately 23 3/4")
800mm (approximately 31 1/2")
1000mm (approximately 39 1/4")
All blanks are cut to the metric measurements, hence the imperial measurements are a rough guide only.
General Description:
Prinicipally Fraxinus americana, but also F. pennsylvanica and F. nigra. Found throughout the northern United States and Canada. Generally straight grained and even textured. Pale coloured timber with grey-brown / olive heartwood. The wood has good strength, elasticity, toughness, stiffness and hardness qualities. The timber typically weighs around 660-670kg/m3.
Uses :
American ash is famous for its use in all types of sports equipment; bats, cues, oars, handles &c. It is also highly prized for use in high quality interior joinery, panelling, cabinetwork and furniture. The timber turns very well and takes an excellent finish. It glues, stains and polishes well.

This timber can be delivered by carrier or collection is possible by arrangement from our works near Eccleshall, Stafford (approximately 9 miles from Junctions 14 or 15 of the M6). The delivery shown is for mainland UK delivery (England, Wales and Scotland excluding highlands). Payment should be via PayPal or cash on collection.
