Symptoms of a failed or failing steering lock:

Cannot release the steering lock with the key
With the key in the ignition does not come on
Vehicle will not start due to error codes related to the steering lock

This plug and play solution emulates the ESL signal enabling the car to be started. If the Steering Column Lock is permanently locked it must be physically removed
