My Honeycomb Pen offers a sophisticated and graceful honeycomb pattern which adorns the pen end, clip, and band. I chose a remarkable Osage Orange wood that reminds me of the tasty honey coming from a honeycomb. Paired with beautifully themed hardware to create a truly one-of-a-kind pen. The finished pen offers superb balance and superior writing characteristics with a smooth writing Parker style refill.

Osage Orange (American) is a lighter color of Orange than the darker Argentine type. It has a brighter yellow appearance which oxidizes to a dark brown. Osage Orange can be quite difficult to work with due to its density but, is quite strong and works well in bow construction.

As a world renowned artisan, I was able to form this fine writing instrument through a painstaking process that involved several hours and stages in order to present a finely polished work of art. The blanks were measured and drilled before inserting brass tubes. They were then trued on each end before being placed on my Rikon midi-lathe for the shaping using various chisels. When the desired shape was achieved I then took them through a multi-stage sanding process finishing with nine steps of micro-mesh, followed by a three step polishing with Aussie Oil, finishing off with three coats of carnauba wax resulting in a glass like finish.
