Genmaicha tea is literally green tea combined with roasted brown rice. Originally the rice was added as a filler to "stretch" the tea for poor people giving it the name "the people's tea". But now, it is enjoyed widely because of its mild, nutty taste.
We recommend genmaicha as a great accompaniment to your favorite Japanese or Korean food or sushi.
Brew using 175-185 degrees water. Steep about 3-5 minutes.
