Fender Jazzmaster 1965 Electric Guitar

For sale is a rare vintage Fender Jazzmaster Electric Guitar from 1965. It's in fantastic condition for its age. Looks beautiful, plays and sounds beautiful. Includes case. Previously owned by famous singer-songwriter who kept great care of it. Below is our in-house guitar tech write up, but also consider we are not a guitar speciality shop and this is just our best assessment but not guaranteed. Please verify any necessary details before purchase.

- Neck stamp reads 4Sept65B
- "F" Neck plate serial #106816
- Bound rosewood fretboard w/ dots
- Kluson Deluxe tuners
- Witch hat knobs
- “Transition” headstock logo
- Aftermarket Buzz-Stop installed
- Aftermarket Mastery M-1 Bridge installed, original bridge not included
- Non-original Jumbo frets (approx 2.9mm width)
- Fret nibs were removed, likely during the refret
- Volume and Tone pots are non-original
- All other electronics appear to be original
- Upper-horn strap button replaced by Schaller-type straplock button, original button not included
- Bottom strap button screw non-original
- Tremolo arm does not fit into trem post hole, appears period correct
- A 1965 dated Stackpole 1Meg Audio pot w/ “Red Dime” tone cap is included in the guitar case, this is likely a replaced original part
- A 1964 dated CTS 1Meg Linear pot is also included in the guitar case, this is likely a replaced original part as well
- Toggle switch tip is a reproduction, the original toggle switch tip is included in the case (Likely swapped due to vintage switch tips being prone cracking during shipment)
- The case does not appear to be original to the guitar. It’s possibly a 1970’s model or a newer reproduction 
- Weighs 8.5lbs
