About Organic Wheat Whole Grain

Wheat grain is a whole wheat grain packed with natural protein and fibre and can be used as an alternative to barley. Add to salads or soups and stews for added texture and nutrition. Alternatively it can be cooked and served in a similar way to rice, quinoa and couscous.

Our organic whole wheat grain can be milled into an organic flour that can be used to create many sweet and savoury recipes such as cakes, muffins, bread and crackers.

Recipes:

Boiled wheat: 

  • Rinse, then add to a pan with water and bring to a boil
  • Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45-60 minutes until tender.



Wheat Grass:
  • a few leaves of fresh coriander (remove the stems)
  • ? Large avocado
  • 30ml wheat grass juice(or wheatgrass powder)
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 60ml olive oil
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp cumin

Egg, Honey and Wheatgerm Smoothie:

  • 2 fresh eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of runny honey
  • 1 ? cups of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of wheat germ
  • freshly grated nutmeg
  • ground cinnamon



 
To serve by fresh fruit.
