Pocket Notes (Text pad)
Pocket Notes (Text) is a word process program.
Functions: | File Functions: 1. Create new text file and edit it 2. Open existing text file and edit it 3. Save edited text file to PDA card battery backup SRAM 4. Save edited text file under a file name or to another file name 5. Delete edited text file from pda cart battery backup SRAM 6. Send edited text file from your PDA to another PDA through link cable or RF transmitter 7. Exit from Pocket Notes program Edit Functions : 1. Select text block 2. Copy selected text block to clipboard 3. Cut selected text block to clipboard 4. Paste clipboard text to text file 5. Delete selected text block 6. Select all text 7. File Functions: | |
Create New File | 1. Press L-Button to get the menu down, default is File menu item 2. Press Up/Down key to highlight New submenu item 3. Press A-Button to confirm to create a new file, Then the “File” menu disappears and an empty document with name ”File name” displays. |
Open File | 1. Press L-Button to get the menu down, default is File menu item 2. Press Up/Down D-pad to highlight Open submenu item 3. Press A-Button to confirm open file, then a pop-up File Open Dialog let user to select an existing file from battery backup SRAM. 4. Inside File Open Dialog, user can press Up/Down D-pad to move cursor to select the file by name. 5. Press A-Button to open the current selected file, then the File Open Dialog disappears and a new document displays. |
Save File | 1. Press L-Button to get the menu down, default is File menu item 2. Press Up/Down key to highlight Save submenu item 3. Press A-Button to save the edited current document. If the document has a name, the program will save it directly; If the document is untitled, program will popup a File Save Dialog to request the file name. When the file name is entered, then press A-Button to save the current document with its name. |
Save File as Another Name | 1. Press L-Button to get the menu down, default is File menu item 2. Press Up/Down D-pad to highlight Save As… submenu item 3. Program popup File Save Dialog to ask new filename. After entering a new file name, press A-Button to save the document with its new name |
Delete File | 1. Press L-Button to get the menu down, default is File menu item 2. Press Up/Down D-pad to highlight Delete File submenu item 3. Program wills popup a Confirm Dialog to ask user: ”Are you sure? ” 4. Press Left/Right D-pad to move the cursor to select “Yes” or “No” answer – Default is “Yes” choice. 5. Press A-Button to delete the current document |
Exit Program | 1. Press L-Button to pull down menu, default is File menu item 2. Press Up/Down D-pad to highlight Exit submenu item 3. Press A-Button If document is modified, program wills popup a dialog to ask user save it or not? User press Left/Right key to move cursor to select Yes or No answer, and then press A-Button to confirm what to do (save or not). If document is saved, exit “Pocket Notes” program and return to main desktop. |
Send | 1. Press L-Button to pull down menu, default is File menu item 2. Press Up/Down D-pad to highlight Send submenu item 3. Press A button to confirm 4. A pictogram appears with a question : are you sure ? 5. Press A button to confirm or B button to Cancel 6. A pictogram shows your file is sending from your TMPDA to another TMPDA through your GBA Link cable or TM Free Runner Link. It disappears when the file is sent. You can send those following files from your TMPDA to another TMPDA : - Pocket notes file - Address book file |

Select Block | Method (1) 7. Locate your cursor at the beginning of the block letter you want to select. 8. Press L-Button to pull down menu, default is File menu item 9. Press Left/Right D-pad to change menu item to Edit menu item 4. Press Up/Down D-pad to highlight Select Block submenu item 5. Press ¬®¯ D-pad to define your selected block. The selected block characters background will change its color to mark it selected! 6. Press L-Button to pull down menu and highlight the Select Blocksubmenu item again. 7. Press A-Button end block select act.
Method (2) 1. Press Select-Button to begin to select the text block. 2. Press ¬®¯ D-pad to define your selected block. The selected block characters background will change its color to mark it selected! 3. Press Select-Button again to end your selection. |
Copy Selected Block | 1. Once your selected block is done, 2. Press L-Button to pull down menu, default is File menu item 3. Press ¬/® D-pad to highlight Edit menu item 4. Press /¯ D-pad to highlight Copy submenu item 5. Press A-Button to copy the selected text block to system clipboard. |
Cut Selected Block | 1. Once your selected block is done, 2. Press L-Button to pull down menu, default is File menu item 3. Press ¬/® D-pad to change to Edit menu item 4. Press /¯ key to highlight Cut submenu 5. Press A-Button to copy the selected block to clipboard system and “cut” the selected block text from the current document. |
Paste Block | 1. Once your selected block is done, 2. Press ¬//®/¯ D-pad to move the cursor to the position where you want to insert the selected block text in the current document. 3. Press L-Button to pull down menu, default is File menu item 6. Press ¬/® D-pad to highlight Edit menu item 7. Press /¯ D-pad to highlight Paste submenu item 8. Press A-Button to paste the selected text block in your current document. NB. You can also paste your selected block in another document. In that case, you just have to choose the document you want to paste your selected block in before step 3 as described above. |
Delete Block | 1. Once your selected block is done, 2. Press L-Button to pull down menu, default is File menu item 3. Press ¬/® D-pad change to Edit menu item 4. Press /¯ D-pad to highlight Delete Block submenu item 5. Press A-Button to delete the selected block. |
Select All Document | 1. Press L-Button to pull down menu 2. Press ¬/® D-pad change to Edit menu item 3. Press /¯ D-pad to highlight Select All submenu item 4. Press A-Button confirm to select all the document |
Insert Date/Time | 1. Press ¬®¯ D-pad to move your cursor to the position you want to insert current date and time 2. Press L-Button and pull down menu 3. Press ¬/® D-pad to highlight Edit menu item 4. Press /¯ D-pad to highlight Date/Time submenu item 5. Press A-Button to Insert current Date/Time at the memorized position with format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM YYYY: year (2002) MM: month (01) DD: day (01) HH: hour (24) MM: minute (59) |

Press ¬/® key to select one of the 6 colors. 6. Press A-Button confirm If there is selected block, the selected block font changes to new color; the new key-in character will change his color also. |

How to delete one letter | 1. Be sure that your digital keyboard is hide. If your D-keyboard is playing on the screen panel, press Start-Button to hide it. 2. Press ¬//®/¯ D-ad to move your cursor to the letter location you want to delete 3. Press B-Button to delete the character |

The reminder functions enables user to input his event at any time and snooze to remind the event to the user.

Today Planner Detail (set by Calendar program) · There are 26 letters in your D-keyboard, 10 figures and some special characters, del, backspace, reminder setting and confirm keys for edit. · In any browser status press B button to exit your program and return to desktop menu. |

Display planner Messages | Inside Calendar program, user can plan a serial of days for something. These message can be displayed by Schedule program at ScheduleTitlebar too. (For more information, see Calendar program document) |

While one plan date is exceed 2 month, the application will delete it automatic. * While browser mode, press B-Button will exit and return desktop |
How to use | 1. Enter into this interface and show the actual time and date. And press¬//®/¯ D-pad to highlight any date. 2. Press A-Button to jump into Schedule program - Today browse table, then you can use Schedule program as you want, but the difference between you enter from desktop or from Calendar is that when you press B-Button to exit the current program, it will return to desktop or toCalendar. |
How to set plan message | 1. Press L-BUTTON popup calendar popmenu 2. Select Set plan item and press A-BUTTON confirm 3. The 1st step of set plan wizard is ask the plan period, user can move cursor and set the begin date and end date of the period. The user can continue to enter plan message editor by press A-BUTTON or cancel edit by press B-BUTTON. |
How to set present date | 1. Press Select-Button to highlight date icon (at the left-top border of the screen) 2. Press A-Button and enter date setup dialog. Then modify the current date/month/year 3. Press L-BUTTON popup calendar popmenu and select Set as TODAYmenu item. 4. popup confirm diagram block, select YES and press A button to confirm. |
How to select year | 1. Press Select-Button to highlight year icon (at the right-top border of screen) 2. Press ¬ key to decrease year, or press ® key to increase year |
How to select month | 1. Press Select-Button to highlight month icon (at the right-top border of screen, beside year icon) 2. Press ¬ key to decrease month, or press ® key to increase month |
Functions: | Display the world major cities by Red dot on the world atlas, domestic standard time by Blue dot. The bar underneath the display indicates the domestic standard time and the selected city time. * Press B-Button to exit program and return to desktop |
How to Use | 1. Press ¬/® key to get local or current city bar A) Setup Local City 2. Press A-Button to popup a city list. 3. With your D-pad, select one city as local city and press A-Button to confirm or B button to cancel or modify it. 4. Once your local city is selected, the program enters time setup dialog automatically. 5. To setup current local time, press A-Button to save it or press B-Button to keep system default time and return to main menu 6. Program will use one Red dot to mark local city in world atlas and present local city time will be displayed on the local city bar. B) Setup Current City 7. Press A-Button to popup the Current city list. 8. Select one city with your D-pad and press A-Button to confirm or B button to cancel or modify. 9. Program will use one Blue dot to mark current city in world atlas and the present time of the city will be displayed automatically on the current city bar. |

Press A-Button to enter record edit box and to edit it. 5. When editing is finished, press A-Button to save your modifications and return to main menu or press B-Button to cancel your modifications and return to main menu. |
How to delete a record | 1. Press /¯ D-pad to select the record which you want to delete 2. Press L-Button popup menu 3. Press /¯ key to select Delete menu item 4. Press A-Button to popup a confirmation board. 5. Confirm “yes” will delete selected record or “no” cancel “delete action”. |
