ANTIQUE OVAL SHAPED SMALL COIN BANK BOX ADVERTISING INTEREST DEPARTMENT FIRST NATIONAL BANK COOPERSTOWN, NEW YORK WITH COPPER STREAKS RUNNING THROUGHOUT
This is for an antique coin bank box that is made of steel with copper colored streaks running throughout it. This oval shaped bank-issued box has a handle on the top. The bank has a metal tag on the front that reads, "Interest Department First National Bank Cooperstown, N.Y.". Cooperstown is the famous home of the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame. Top of the bank is marked by the manufacturer, the C.O. Burns Company out of New York and shows the patent dates of 1891 & 1892. The top of the bank also has the number "795" imprinted in it. The top of the bank also has a place to put coins in it. It measures about 3" tall by just over 4 and 1/4" wide by just over 2 and 1/4" thick. There is no key available though. The banks used to hold these. Bank is in good condition overall for it's age with just natural wear present. Please see pictures for design and condition detail.
