60mm diameter 107 grams medal, Designed by Costantino Affer and minted by Stabilimento Artistico Lorioli in Milano, Italy. The obverse of the medal features the Head of the Victory crowned with Olympic Rings, the Olympic Torch in the foreground and the legend VII GIOCHI OLIMPICI INVERNALI, in small letters Cost. Affer the name (shorten) of the designer appears alongside the women‘s neck. The reverse: Olympic motto CITIUS ALTIUS FORTIUS and CORTINA 1956 surrounding a snowflake over Mt. Pomagagnon..
