A beautiful, vibrant tonalist landscape from the fourth quarter of the 19th century.

The artist utilized impressionistic brushstrokes to compose this wonderful American landscape view with a bright orange sky and purple/pink clouds. The work is titled in pencil on the reverse “Sunset on the Marsh”.

The work is an oil on board and appears to be unsigned.

Condition: Good antique condition with prominent surface craquelure. The frame has typical wear and small losses. It is ready to be displayed and enjoyed!
