HOT WHEELS PENCIL SHARPENER W/ REMOVABLE SWEET 16
Unique release from 2000 featuring a red plastic Hot Wheels logo pencil sharpener with a removable classic vehicle, the cool black hot rod known as the Sweet 16! There have been 21 variations of the Sweet 16 starting with 11 released in 1973, the original year of this classic hot rod. It was retooled 25 years later in 1998 and there were 10 variations manufactured between then and 2009. The one mounted on this pencil sharpener is the 6th version from the 2000 Mainline series and the second of 2 slightly different variations in black, the difference being longer flame decals on the fenders.
It's in Excellent to Very Good condition overall with only very minor signs of age, wear or play and really quite nice! (Please see pics!)
A great item that would make a fine addition to any Hot Wheels / Sweet 16 / hot rod / toy vehicle collection!
NOTE:
Just because a Hot Wheels car has a patent year on it DOES NOT mean that
was when it was produced! Far too many sellers of Hot Wheels cars use the
patented year and claim that is when the one they are selling was
released... NOT ALWAYS TRUE! There is a very good web 'Wiki' called hotwheels.fandom.com that has some OK info (though not as thorough as the Matchbox Wiki) so you don't get
ripped off... just sayin'!
